The short version

Jolt Code (“Jolt”) keeps your work on your phone. It only sends anything to us if you create an account, and then only what's needed to sign you in and save your projects. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

Your projects, your board's address and your board password stay on your device. The Wi-Fi name and password you type into the setup guide are written into the setup file you share with your own computer. Jolt does not keep them or send them to us.

What we store if you create an account

Your email address, so you can sign in. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider and is never stored in a form we can read. If you use cloud save, the names and contents of your projects are stored so they can follow you to another phone.

If you join the launch waitlist

We store the email address you enter on this website and which link brought you here (for example, a video or post), so we know which places people find Jolt from. We use your email only to tell you when pre-orders open and when Jolt launches. We never sell or share it. To be removed, reply to any of our emails or write to us, and we'll delete it.

Who helps us run Jolt

Accounts, cloud save and the waitlist are hosted by Supabase. Purchases are handled by Apple; we never see your payment details. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.

Your local network

Jolt asks to use your local network so it can find and talk to your own boards over Wi-Fi. It only contacts devices on your network that you connect to.

Deleting your data

Open the You tab in the app and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and every project saved in the cloud. Projects on your phone stay until you delete them or remove the app.

Children

Jolt isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
